This is practical for requiring little storage space while creating a highly protective bottle wrapper when needed. I packed a checked bag with liquor (and paper wrap) without any breakage.
Just watch out for the pump. Mine broke just after I used the last bag. (Or it may have disassembled but I had no need to try to put it back together)

We purchased these bags because we found that, after having purchased bottles of alcohol on a cruise ship, even packing them well buried among our clothing, we were not able to prevent airline baggage handlers from breaking the bottles. These bags have withstood the handling to which our luggage has been subjected. I found to instructions to be a bit difficult to understand, and that's what stopped me from giving five stars.

I was more than a little skeptical about traveling with bottles of bourbon from California to Alabama in a checked bag, but dammit if these bags didn't work like a champ.
I arrived to the airport in plenty of time to watch the whole process of my luggage make its way to the plane. Some of the gentleman definitely used the opportunity to take out some aggression. It was hot as hell outside so get it, and I probably would have ignored the Fragile sticker on my bag also.
Long story short, the bottles made it, the bags did the job, and I will recommend them to others. Slainte!

These things are incredible. You can fit seven bottles of wine in a standard 12 bottle cardboard case with the inflated sleeves on them. I checked the box with the airline with no additional packing, and although the cardboard was beat up, not a single bottle was broken. I also use these to transport other things, such as maple syrup, honey, and other glass items, and nothing got broken. I took off one star because the pump is basically useless. It broke after the second bag, and it’s not strong enough to push air into some of the cavities. However, if you have an air compressor with a rubber dust off tip, you can inflate these in about two seconds each. They are very strong, so it’s hard to pop them. But do not over inflate. I’m going to buy these and take them anytime I travel to wine country or need to transport delicate items. They also work very well for insulating food. I put frozen steaks and hot dogs into these and inflated them, and then wrapped them in newspaper, and everything was still frozen after a 10 hour flight.

I traveled to EU for vacation. I knew I was going to buy souvenir cups, Christmas ornaments and wine. This product traveled flat, weightless and the pump was small to pack as well. I bought the Christmas ornament first, and I immediately put it into the sleeve and pumped it up. I still had 2 weeks of travel and just to be extra safe, I kept it in my backpack instead of the luggage. It survived all the way home no problem. I also got my souvenir cups and finally my bottle of wine. I did have to check the luggage with the wine, but it made it home no problem. I forgot I had put it in between a blanket, and when I pulled the blanket out, the bottle fell on the floor, but the sleeve protected it and it didn't break. I am extremely pleased with this product and I highly recommend it.

I purchased these to use for packing for our cruise since we are allowed to bring wine. They worked perfectly. I'm not sure what the comments are about, not knowing how to blow them up, as I had no issue, even without reading the instructions. There are arrows on the package that show you the air flow direction. You insert the pump like you would into a mylar balloon (slide in flat opening) and the air flows through the chambers like inflating an air mattress. Only used 2 in the package for the trip so I will keep the others for the future. Great buy for the price.
